Dominating the dashboard is a 30-inch widescreen display that integrates Kia’s latest connected car Navigation Cockpit, offering access to navigation, entertainment, and vehicle diagnostics. The infotainment system supports all major streaming services and receives regular over-the-air (OTA) updates. Additionally, the Kia EV4 incorporates a digital key system for access via personal devices and features the i-Pedal 3.0 system, which provides adjustable regenerative braking.
3 Kia EV4: Battery, range, and specifications
Constructed on Kia’s 400V Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the Kia EV4 offers two battery pack choices: a standard 58.3 kWh and an extended-range 81.4 kWh option. Both versions of the EV4 are equipped with these battery alternatives, powering a front-mounted 150 kW (210 bhp) electric motor. The long-range battery enables the sedan variant to achieve a claimed range of 630 km on a single charge, while the hatchback variant can cover 590 km. The EV4 accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds and is reported to reach a maximum speed of 170 km/h. It supports fast charging from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 31 minutes and includes Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) capabilities.
4 Kia EV4: Safety
The Kia EV4 is equipped with the latest advancements in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) from the manufacturer. Among its features is the Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA 2), which offers functionalities such as collision avoidance assistance, lane-keeping aids, and alerts for driver attentiveness. Additionally, the Direct Grip Detection System guarantees that the driver retains control while adjusting the ADAS settings. The EV4 is designed with a focus on achieving superior safety standards, with the goal of securing five-star ratings in both Euro NCAP and US NCAP crash assessments.
