The KTM 390 Adventure S takes its design cues from the larger 1390 Adventure model. It showcases a rally-inspired look, characterized by vertically aligned twin-projector LED headlights and bodywork reminiscent of Dakar racing. This motorcycle presents a sturdy, adventure-ready appearance, enhanced by its updated design. The 2025 iteration is significantly larger, providing an improved riding position that is well-suited for both extended touring and off-road excursions.
In contrast, the KTM Enduro R embraces a traditional enduro-style aesthetic. It is equipped with a distinctive beak-like front fender and a compact headlight unit. The overall design is both sleek and minimalist, featuring a sharply contoured tank that amplifies its rugged, off-road-oriented character.
The KTM 390 Adventure S and the Enduro R are equipped with a newly developed 399 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which has been optimized to deliver 45.5 bhp and a peak torque of 39 Nm. This engine is coupled with a 6-speed transmission.
The KTM 390 Adventure S incorporates an upgraded chassis and subframe that it shares with its naked variant. It is designed with a fully adjustable telescopic fork at the front and an adjustable monoshock at the rear, allowing for precise suspension tuning suitable for diverse terrains. The motorcycle is fitted with 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels, complemented by knobby tyres, which significantly enhance its off-road performance by improving traction in difficult conditions.
In a similar vein, the KTM Enduro R is equipped with a fully adjustable suspension system, featuring both a front fork and a rear mono-shock. It also utilizes 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels, which are outfitted with knobby tyres, further bolstering its off-road capabilities for navigating more challenging trails.
The KTM 390 Adventure S boasts a range of features, including a TFT display, switchable traction control, cornering ABS, rear ABS with switchable capabilities, and cruise control. Additionally, it is designed with vertically stacked twin-projector LED headlights, which improve both its functionality and aesthetic appeal.
Conversely, the KTM 390 Enduro R is equipped with a compact LCD instrument cluster that can be easily navigated using a joystick control. This motorcycle also features full LED lighting, offering a contemporary and efficient illumination system.
The Adventure S and the Enduro R are scheduled to be introduced in India in January of the upcoming year. While the pricing details have yet to be revealed, it is anticipated that the new KTM 390 Adventure will be priced above the existing model, which is currently available at a range of ₹2.84 lakh to ₹3.42 lakh (ex-showroom).
