
Kawasaki Versys 1100 Debuts in India – Adventure Awaits at ₹12.90 Lakh!

Kawasaki India has introduced the 2025 Kawasaki Versys 1100, priced at ₹12.90 lakhs (ex-showroom). This newly launched sports tourer features a modest increase in engine capacity and is approximately ₹1 lakh less expensive than its predecessor. Notably, the 2025 Kawasaki Versys 1100 does not present any significant design updates.
On the global stage, Kawasaki has released three variants of the Versys 1100, including a base model, S, and SE trims, which remain unchanged. However, for the Indian market, the manufacturer is offering only one variant, referred to as ‘Standard’. This two-wheeler is available in a single colour option for India, named ‘Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Gray with Metallic Diablo Black.’
2025 Kawasaki Versys 1100: Engine
The sports tourer has received enhancements to its engine, now boasting a larger capacity of 1099 cc. This liquid-cooled, inline 4-cylinder, DOHC engine features redesigned intake ports to accommodate its updated throttle body. Additionally, the cam profiles have been modified with reduced valve lift, enhancing torque in the low to mid-rpm range.
The engine now delivers increased maximum power, rising from 118 bhp to 133 bhp at 9,000 rpm, along with a torque output of 112 Nm at 7,600 rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed return shift transmission equipped with a slipper and assist clutch. The motorcycle's flywheel has been made heavier to enhance rideability, and a secondary balancer has been incorporated to reduce excess vibration. An oil cooler is also included to ensure optimal engine temperature.
2025 Kawasaki Versys 1100: Specifications
Kawasaki has enhanced the performance of its motorcycle by improving braking capabilities, featuring a rear disc that now measures 260 mm and dual front discs measuring 310 mm. The front suspension consists of two inverted forks that offer adjustable rebound damping and spring preload. In contrast, the rear suspension utilizes horizontal back-link gas-charged shocks, which also provide rebound damping and remote spring preload adjustability. The fuel tank has a capacity of 21 litres, and the motorcycle has a dry weight of 235 kg.
2025 Kawasaki Versys 1100: Features
The Versys 1100 is equipped with all-LED lighting, an adjustable windscreen, a USB-C socket mounted on the handlebar, and electronic cruise control. Additionally, it incorporates various technologies designed to assist the rider, including the Kawasaki Corner Management Function, an Inertial Measurement Unit, a three-mode Kawasaki Traction Control system, electronic throttle valves, multiple power modes, eco riding indication, and the Kawasaki Intelligent Anti-Lock Brake System.
