KTM is poised to launch the new 390 Enduro R in India on April 11, 2025. This model shares its foundational elements with the latest 390 Adventure but is specifically designed for off-road performance, making it lighter and more purpose-driven than its adventure touring counterpart. The KTM 390 Enduro R was initially unveiled in India during the India Bike Week 2025, although it was presented in a global specification. The Indian version features several modifications compared to the international model.
KTM 390 Enduro R Features
The KTM 390 Enduro R takes design inspiration from the larger Enduro models within KTM's range. It adopts a minimalist aesthetic by reducing the number of body panels, which contributes to a kerb weight of 168 kg, enhancing its agility. The motorcycle replaces the larger color TFT display with a more compact 4.1-inch TFT console that includes Bluetooth connectivity. This setup will offer turn-by-turn navigation, music controls, and other essential features.

A significant alteration in the India-specific KTM 390 Enduro R is its suspension system, which has been adapted from the 390 Adventure S for the Indian market. The front suspension travel is set at 205 mm, while the rear offers 200 mm, in contrast to the 230 mm available on international models. The ground clearance has been reduced from 272 mm to 253 mm, and the seat height is now 860 mm, lower than the global model's height of 890 mm. The motorcycle maintains a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheel configuration, though it is equipped with different Mitas dual-purpose tires.
The KTM 390 Enduro R is powered by the well-known 399 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled LC4c engine from the 390 Duke, producing 45.3 bhp and 39 Nm of peak torque, coupled with a 6-speed transmission. The braking system features disc brakes with dual-channel ABS and traction control. Unlike the 390 Adventure, the new Enduro model does not include cruise control.
Anticipate that the new KTM 390 Enduro R will be priced approximately at ₹3.2 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it between the KTM 390 Adventure X and S models. The 390 Enduro R will stand alone in its category, facing no direct competitors. This distinct positioning is expected to appeal to enthusiasts seeking unbridled enjoyment on off-road trails.
