1 Engine
The KTM 390 Enduro R is powered by the same engine as the 390 Duke, utilizing a 399cc LC4c single-cylinder, liquid-cooled configuration. The international variant generates 43.5 bhp, whereas the model intended for the Indian market is anticipated to produce the full 45 bhp, aligning it with the 390 Duke. The torque is maintained at 39 Nm, providing a lively and powerful performance suitable for off-road adventures. This engine is coupled with a 6-speed transmission, ensuring seamless gear transitions and efficient power output.
2 Suspension and braking
The KTM 390 Enduro R is designed to handle rugged trails, featuring long-travel suspension for optimal performance. The front is fitted with USD forks that offer 230 mm of travel, while the rear is equipped with a monoshock system. Its braking system includes a 285 mm front disc paired with an axial caliper and a 240 mm rear disc, along with switchable dual-channel ABS to provide improved control on difficult terrains.
3 Specifications
At a weight of only 159 kg, the KTM 390 Enduro R is 6 kg lighter than the 390 Duke, offering off-road riders a nimble and responsive option. The motorcycle's small 9-litre fuel tank aids in reducing its overall weight, and its remarkable ground clearance of 272 mm allows it to navigate rocky and uneven surfaces with ease.
4 Wheels
To achieve exceptional off-road traction and maneuverability, the 390 Enduro R is equipped with wire-spoked wheels measuring 21 inches in the front and 18 inches in the rear. This configuration improves stability on uneven surfaces and provides enhanced grip, enabling it to excel in diverse trail environments.
5 Features and technology
Although the KTM 390 Enduro R is designed primarily for off-road use, it does not sacrifice modern technology. It features a 4.2-inch TFT display with Bluetooth capabilities, enabling riders to manage music, receive calls, and utilize turn-by-turn navigation. Additionally, the motorcycle provides two riding modes—Street and Offroad—tailored to various terrains and rider preferences.
