KTM 390 Adventure India Launch Imminent: Pricing Expectations Unveiled

The latest iteration of the KTM 390 Adventure is poised for its launch in India tomorrow, January 30, 2025. This 2025 model made its global introduction at EICMA 2024 in November, followed by a presentation at India Bike Week in December 2025. KTM plans to offer the 390 Adventure in two variants, designated as X and S, both of which are anticipated to be available for purchase starting tomorrow.

New KTM 390 Adventure: Key Features

The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure has undergone a comprehensive redesign, enhancing its capabilities for off-road and touring experiences. The motorcycle features a completely new aesthetic, including vertically stacked LED headlights, distinctive LED daytime running lights, and a high-mounted front fender. Additionally, the new 390 ADV is taller and more substantial than its predecessor, providing greater comfort for taller riders.

The new KTM 390 Adventure gets a new chassis while power will come from the 399 cc motor shared with the 390 Duke but the gear ratios and sprockets could be revised for better low-end power delivery — The latest KTM 390 Adventure features an updated chassis, while its powertrain is derived from the 399 cc engine utilized in the 390 Duke. However, modifications to the gear ratios and sprocket sizes may be implemented to enhance low-end power delivery. This new single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, taken from the third-generation KTM 390 Duke, is anticipated to produce similar output figures of 45 bhp and 39 Nm of peak torque, although specific specifications have yet to be disclosed. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed transmission equipped with a slip-and-assist clutch and a bi-directional quick-shifter.

The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure will be offered in two distinct variants. The entry-level X variant will feature alloy wheels with a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel configuration, making it more suitable for touring and available at a lower price point. In contrast, the 390 Adventure S is designed for off-road performance, boasting 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoked wheels fitted with tubeless tyres. This variant is also expected to include a greater array of electronic features than the X model.

In terms of features, the new KTM 390 Adventure S will be equipped with a 5-inch TFT display that includes Bluetooth connectivity, similar to that found in the latest 390 Duke. Additionally, it will offer various traction control modes, ABS settings, multiple riding modes, cornering ABS, cruise control, and more.

2025 KTM 390 Adventure: Price you can expect?

The outgoing KTM 390 Adventure is available at a price of ₹2.84 lakh for the X variant featuring alloy wheels, whereas the highest variant with spoke wheels is priced between ₹3.41 lakh and ₹3.64 lakh. The upcoming model is anticipated to carry a slight premium, with prices starting at ₹3 lakh for the X variant and reaching up to ₹3.80 lakh for the fully equipped S version. All prices are ex-showroom.

In this price segment, the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure will compete with the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the Honda NX500. Bookings for the new 390 Adventure range are currently open, with deliveries expected to commence in February.
