Bollywood actor John Abraham has recently acquired a customized version of the Mahindra Thar Roxx. Notably, he previously served as the brand ambassador for this model. The bespoke five-door off-roader was previewed just a few days prior to its delivery.

The vehicle tailored for John Abraham features several unique modifications to align with his tastes. All exterior emblems have been blacked out, and a distinctive ‘JA’ insignia, representing his initials, has been affixed to the C-pillar. Furthermore, the dashboard is adorned with a special plaque that states ‘MADE FOR JOHN ABRAHAM.’ Despite these personalized enhancements, the vehicle maintains its original design and specifications.

While John is well-known for his enthusiasm for motorcycles, his collection of automobiles is equally noteworthy, including iconic models such as the Nissan GT-R and the robust Isuzu V-Cross pickup.

John’s Thar Roxx: Interior

This particular model is a diesel-powered 4WD variant, featuring a Mocha Brown interior theme. A unique aspect of the interior design is the ‘JA’ insignia embossed on both the front and rear seat headrests. The feature set remains consistent with the standard model, offering a range of modern amenities, including dual 10.25-inch displays—one for the touchscreen infotainment system and the other functioning as a digital driver’s cluster. Additional features include automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless charging pad, and a premium Harman Kardon audio system.

In terms of safety, the vehicle is equipped with six airbags as standard, electronic stability control (ESC), a 360-degree camera for improved visibility, and Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) to enhance overall driving safety.

Mahindra Thar Roxx: Engine options

The Thar Roxx is available with two engine choices: a 2.2-litre diesel engine and a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine. Both engines can be paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

The Thar Roxx is available with both 2WD and 4WD drivetrain configurations, although the 4WD option is exclusively paired with a diesel engine.

Mahindra Thar Roxx: Price

While the specific price of the customized Thar Roxx owned by Abraham has not been disclosed, the starting price for the Mahindra Thar Roxx is ₹13.99 lakh (ex-showroom), reaching up to ₹23.09 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Mahindra Thar Roxx is available in six variants: MX1, MX3, AX3L, MX5, AX5L, and AX7L. It is important to note that the AX3L variant is equipped solely with a diesel engine and a manual transmission. Conversely, the AX5L variant also features a diesel engine but is only offered with an automatic transmission. The remaining variants are powered by petrol engines. The four-wheel drive (4WD) options begin with the MX5 variant and continue with the higher variants, with no petrol engine option available for the 4WD models.
