With this rebranding and the introduction of new models, Jaguar has indicated its ambition to penetrate the ultra-premium market segment. The brand seeks to elevate its status in comparison to competitors such as Audi, BMW, and Mercedes.

The model that has been sighted is extensively camouflaged and features flush door handles. The accompanying caption includes the hashtag hybrid, implying that the vehicle may be equipped with a hybrid V8 powertrain. However, these assertions remain unverified at this time. Jaguar previously announced its intention to transition to a fully electric lineup by 2027, and this particular model could play a pivotal role in facilitating that transition. As part of the brand's strategic transformation, all existing Jaguar models, including the electric I-Pace, are set to be discontinued before the introduction of new electric vehicles.

The vehicle's design is confirmed to be that of a four-door Grand Tourer, as indicated in previous reports. This GT model extends beyond five meters in length and features an exceptionally elongated bonnet. Its flat surfaces, particularly at the front, distinguish it from other current Jaguar models. The rectangular LED headlamps further enhance its resemblance to offerings from Rolls-Royce. Additionally, Jaguar is developing a new design philosophy for the interior, which will emphasize minimizing the number of screens and promoting the use of innovative materials.

Jaguar Type 00: Powertrain

The specific details regarding the forthcoming four-door GT from Jaguar remain somewhat ambiguous, aside from its impressive exterior dimensions. It is anticipated that the vehicle will offer a projected range of approximately 800 kilometres on a full charge. This model will be constructed on an entirely new and dedicated electric vehicle platform, referred to as Jaguar Electrified Architecture (JFA). Additionally, this configuration will include a NACS charging port for units intended for the North American market.
