The Jaguar Type 00 Concept made an unexpected appearance on the streets of Paris, presenting a captivating new color known as French Ultramarine. This vibrant hue stands in stark contrast to its earlier finishes of Miami Pink and London Blue. The two-door coupe maintained its silver-accented lower body and distinctive alloy wheels as it embarked on its inaugural public drive.

The concept vehicle was observed maneuvering through the city before halting outside a venue for Paris Fashion Week. Just days prior to this event, Jaguar’s Managing Director, Rawdon Glover, provided insights into the brand’s forthcoming all-electric four-door GT, which is anticipated to launch in late 2025. He assured that the production version would retain the bold Type 00 design while ensuring no compromises in performance, aerodynamics, or safety.

Recent images of the new GT indicate a sleek, performance-focused profile featuring an elongated hood, slender LED headlights, a sculpted roofline, and a confident stance. Internally, Jaguar is prioritizing high-quality craftsmanship and driving dynamics over unnecessary gimmicks.

Jaguar GT’s current status

The forthcoming Jaguar GT, which will serve as the foundation for the manufacturer’s dedicated electric vehicle platform, will feature electric powertrain components that are shared with several other JLR models while still retaining its unique identity. The brand aims for a driving range of up to 770 kilometers and an impressive output of 956 horsepower.

Testing for the new Jaguar has already begun. Glover himself experienced the prototype at speeds reaching 258 kilometers per hour, describing it as one of his most thrilling moments with the brand. Notably, the engineering team has drawn inspiration from iconic Jaguar models to refine the ride and handling of the GT, ensuring it embodies the essence of a true driver’s car.

Additional Jaguar electric vehicles are on the horizon.

Following the GT's launch, Jaguar plans to introduce two more electric models—a full-size sedan and a luxury SUV—thereby enhancing its presence in the electric vehicle market. With anticipated pricing exceeding $130,000 (approximately RS 1.13 crore), the GT aims to establish Jaguar's position in the luxury electric vehicle segment.

While some manufacturers are reevaluating their electrification strategies, Jaguar remains steadfast in its commitment to an all-electric future. Glover emphasized that the brand's EV-exclusive architecture, developed since 2021, precludes any future use of combustion engines. Consequently, Jaguar is poised to lead the way in sustainable luxury performance.
