JSW MG Motor India reported selling 5,500 units in March 2025, marking a 9 percent increase compared to March 2024, when they sold 5,050 units. It's worth mentioning that this figure is based on wholesale data.

MG electric vehicles account for 85% of total sales

MG's electric vehicle range, which features the Comet, ZS EV, and Windsor, made up over 85% of the company's total sales in March. This marks a notable increase in the popularity of electric vehicles from MG's offerings, compared to 78% in February.

A standout in this lineup is the MG Windsor, which has been recognized as the best-selling electric vehicle in India, achieving record sales in March and highlighting its rising appeal among Indian buyers.

Additionally, MG announced a temporary production slowdown at its Halol plant in Gujarat during February to prepare for new model launches and to boost Windsor's production capacity to meet increasing demand. That month also saw MG refresh the Astor lineup by adding an electric sunroof to lower variants and phasing out the 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine. They also introduced the Comet Blackstorm Edition last month, featuring a sleek black design for their entry-level model. In March, MG unveiled the MY2025 version of the Comet EV, complete with new features.
