Isuzu Motors India has reached a significant milestone by producing one hundred thousand vehicles at its Sri City facility in Andhra Pradesh. The landmark 100,000th vehicle is the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross pick-up truck, which continues to be a favored option within its category and is offered in various configurations.
Isuzu India 1 Lakh Production
Isuzu Motors India has reached a significant production milestone approximately eight years after initiating its operations in the country in April 2016. Since 2017, the plant has been engaged in exporting vehicles to various international markets. The company provides pick-up trucks designed for both passenger and commercial use in India, in addition to offering the MU-X full-size SUV.
The automaker reported that it has doubled its production of vehicles and engines over the past two years. Furthermore, Isuzu Motors emphasized its commitment to enhancing its operations in India for the domestic market while simultaneously working to broaden its global presence.
Isuzu Made-in-India Utility Vehicles
Isuzu initiated its Phase II operations in 2020 at the facility with the opening of a press shop and an engine assembly plant. Since that time, the automaker has produced more than 1.4 million pressed components. Furthermore, Isuzu announced its expansion across the nation in 2024, with plans to increase its touchpoints to enhance the ownership experience. However, the company has not yet introduced the new generation V-Cross and MU-X utility vehicles to the Indian market, despite their availability in other Southeast Asian nations.
