Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) has revealed that starting April 2025, the prices of its passenger cars will go up by as much as three percent. The South Korean car manufacturer explained that this increase is due to higher input costs, rising commodity prices, and elevated operational expenses, among other reasons. The exact amount of the price increase will vary based on the specific model and variant.

Hyundai Vehicles Set to Increase in Price

Hyundai has joined the ranks of automakers announcing price increases across their vehicle lineups. Earlier, Tata Motors and Kia revealed similar plans for price hikes starting next month. Many manufacturers are pointing to rising input costs as the driving force behind these adjustments.

Tarun Garg, the Whole-time Director and Chief Operating Officer of HMIL, commented on the situation, stating, “At Hyundai Motor India Limited, we do our best to absorb rising costs to minimize the impact on our customers. However, due to the ongoing rise in operational expenses, we find it necessary to implement a small price adjustment. This increase will take effect in April 2025. We are dedicated to making ongoing efforts to reduce any future effects on our valued customers.”

Hyundai offers a diverse lineup in India, starting with the Grand i10 hatchback and including models like the Exter, Venue, Creta, Alcazar, Tucson, Ioniq 5, and more. This price increase is also expected to raise the cost of the new Hyundai Creta EV.
