Next-gen Hyundai Venue test mule has been spotted testing in South Korea, hinting that a comprehensive update for the sub-4 metre SUV could launch later this year or early 2026. Even though the test mule was thoroughly camouflaged, various visible changes imply significant design and feature upgrades compared to the outgoing model, which was launched in India in 2019 and later updated with a facelift in 2022.

Second gen Hyundai Venue: Redesigned exterior with a boxier look

Despite Maintaining its recognizable boxy shape, the upcoming Venue is set to undergo several aesthetic enhancements that will transform its appearance. It will retain the split LED daytime running lights and headlight configuration, but with a more angular design. The new model seems to take cues from the Hyundai Exter and Alcazar, presenting a more rugged look, particularly highlighted by its front grille.

The test vehicle also showcased front parking sensors, a feature absent in the current Venue. On the sides, the updated alloy wheel design, more pronounced black cladding, and sharper ORVMs mark a departure from the existing model's aesthetics. However, it still does not incorporate flush door handles.

At the rear, the redesigned Venue is expected to include connected LED tail lights, a silver-finished bumper, and a black shark fin antenna, replacing the body-colored version found on the current model. The rear parking sensors, already present in the existing version, are anticipated to be retained.

Additional features that may be included are automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, and a Level 1 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) package, which would encompass forward collision warning and lane-keeping assist.
