The Hyundai Exter Hy-CNG Duo range has been enhanced with the addition of a new trim level. The newly launched EX variant is priced at ₹7.50 lakh, ex-showroom, making it the most affordable option within the Exter Hy-CNG Duo lineup.

This newly released Hyundai Exter Hy-CNG Duo EX variant is designed with numerous features that prioritize safety and convenience. It includes six airbags, a 4.2-inch color TFT multi-information display, and distinctive H-LED tail lamps. Additionally, the variant provides driver seat height adjustment and keyless entry, along with various other practical enhancements.

Hyundai Exter Hy-CNG Duo EX variant: Specs

Specifications of the Hyundai Exter Hy-CNG Duo EX variant reveal that it utilizes two smaller CNG cylinders instead of a single large one. Hyundai has also incorporated an Integrated Electronic Control Unit to facilitate a seamless transition between petrol and CNG fuel sources.

The SUV is powered by a 1.2-liter Bi-Fuel engine (capable of running on both petrol and CNG) paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. This engine generates 68 bhp and 95.2 Nm of torque, and there is no automatic transmission option available. Hyundai claims that the CNG Duo achieves a fuel efficiency of 27.1 km/kg, as tested by ARAI.

Hyundai has recently introduced discounts across various models in its lineup, including the Exter. This compact SUV has gained popularity and competes with models such as the Tata Punch. Presently, customers can benefit from a discount of up to ₹50,000 off the ex-showroom price of the Exter, which is priced between ₹5.99 lakh and ₹10.43 lakh (ex-showroom). In addition to its CNG variant, the Hyundai Exter is equipped with a 1.2-litre Kappa 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 82 bhp and 113.8 Nm of torque, available with either a five-speed manual or an AMT transmission.
