The Hyundai Creta Electric has begun arriving at dealerships, signalling that deliveries of the electric SUV are likely to commence soon. Hyundai Motor India Limited unveiled the Creta Electric at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Priced between ₹18 lakh and ₹23.50 lakh (ex-showroom, introductory), the SUV offers an exciting new option in the electric vehicle market.

What is the booking amount of the Hyundai Creta Electric?

The Hyundai Creta Electric can be booked with an initial amount of ₹25,000. It will be available in two performance options: a lower-spec version producing 133 bhp and a higher-spec model delivering 169 bhp. Hyundai claims the SUV can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 7.9 seconds.

The Creta Electric retains many features from its standard internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart while adding several enhancements. Key features include a leatherette dashboard and a dual-screen setup for the infotainment system and instrument cluster, similar to the ICE variant. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be supported, and the redesigned steering wheel will feature a dual-spoke layout with four dots, reminiscent of the Hyundai Ioniq 5.

Additional highlights include an electric panoramic sunroof, a new gear selector, Level-2 ADAS, and a 360-degree surround-view camera for blind spot detection. The SUV will also feature a digital key (introduced with the Hyundai Alcazar), active air flaps on the front bumper for improved range efficiency, and vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality.

What are the battery specifications of the Hyundai Creta Electric?

Hyundai has confirmed that the Creta Electric will feature a 51.4 kWh battery pack, certified by ARAI to deliver a range of 473 kilometers. However, in normal driving mode, the electric SUV achieves a range of 392 kilometers on a full charge. Additionally, a variant with a smaller 42 kWh battery pack offers an ARAI-certified range of 390 kilometres per charge.

In terms of charging, Hyundai states that the Creta Electric can charge from 10% to 80% in just 58 minutes using a DC fast charger. For home charging, the 11 kW Smart Connected wall box charger takes approximately 4 hours to charge the vehicle from 10% to 100% via AC power.
