Honda has officially unveiled the new NT1100 Police motorcycle in the United States. Although it may appear to be a new sports tourer from the Japanese automaker intended for the North American market, the NT1100 Police is specifically designed for law enforcement and will not be available for civilian purchase. This motorcycle has been tailored for US police agencies and is set to be deployed to officers beginning next May.
The Honda NT1100 Police serves as a replacement for the ST1300 currently utilized by US law enforcement. It is lighter and more agile than its predecessor, despite featuring a smaller engine capacity. The motorcycle is based on the NT1100 model available in Europe and is powered by a 1,084 cc twin-cylinder engine, which is also found in the Africa Twin. This engine produces 100 bhp and 104 Nm of peak torque, which is slightly lower than the 123 bhp and 115 Nm offered by the ST1300. Notably, the NT1100 Police has a kerb weight of 257 kg, compared to the 320 kg of the older model.
