Honda Cars has introduced the Elevate SUV featuring new Black Edition variants in India on Friday, January 10. Adorned with an all-black aesthetic and incorporating several updates, the Elevate Black Edition SUV will be available at a starting price of ₹15.51 lakh (ex-showroom). These Black Edition variants are derived from the top-tier ZX trim of the Elevate SUV. The Signature Black Edition variant is priced at ₹16.93 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most premium option within the SUV lineup.
The Honda Elevate SUV marks the first model in India from the Japanese automotive manufacturer to offer a Black Edition. Honda's portfolio also includes vehicles such as the Amaze, City, and City Hybrid. Launched in September 2023, the Elevate SUV is the sole SUV in Honda's Indian offerings. It competes in the compact SUV market, facing competition from models like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, among others. Several of its competitors also provide Black or Dark Edition variants, including the Creta Knight Edition, Maruti Grand Vitara Black Series, and MG Astor Blackstorm SUVs.
Honda Elevate Black Edition: Exterior, interior design changes
The Honda Elevate Black Edition and Signature Black Edition feature aesthetic enhancements that distinguish them from the standard models. The most prominent alteration is the introduction of a sleek all-black exterior color scheme. Additionally, the Elevate showcases design modifications such as black alloy wheels and nuts, chrome accents on the upper grille, and a silver finish on the front and rear skid plates, as well as the door and roof rails. Both the Black Edition and Signature Black Edition are adorned with emblems located at the rear or on the front fender.
Inside, the new variants present a cohesive all-black theme. The manufacturer provides black leatherette seats with matching black stitching, black door pads, and armrests covered in PVC, along with an all-black dashboard that enhances the Black Edition branding. The Signature Black Edition further includes rhythmic ambient lighting in seven colors.

The Elevate Black Edition will not introduce any additional features beyond those already available. It will maintain the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, the 7-inch semi-digital driver display, a wireless charging option, and a sunroof, among other amenities. Safety provisions will encompass the ADAS package, six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, Hill Hold Assist, and additional features.
Honda Elevate Black Edition: Engine, transmission
The Honda Elevate Black Edition remains unchanged in its mechanical specifications. This SUV will still be equipped with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, which can be paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
