
Honda Elevate SUV Achieves 1 Lakh Sales Mark in Record 18 Months

Honda Elevate SUV has reached a significant sales milestone within 18 months of its introduction. Competing with models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Grand Vitara, the compact SUV has surpassed the one-lakh sales mark this month. The Elevate made its debut on Indian roads in September 2023, marking Honda's return to the SUV segment following the discontinuation of the WRV. It was initially priced at ₹11 lakh (ex-showroom).
Honda markets the Elevate SUV in both Indian and international markets. As of January this year, the manufacturer has sold 53,326 units domestically, while an additional 47,653 units have been exported to countries including Japan, South Africa, Nepal, and Bhutan over the past 18 months. Notably, the Elevate is the first Honda vehicle manufactured in India to be exported to Japan.
Honda Elevate: Pricing and Variants
In India, the pricing for the Honda Elevate begins at ₹11.91 lakh (ex-showroom) and can reach up to ₹16.73 lakh (ex-showroom) for the recently launched top-end variant. The SUV is available in four variants: SV, V, VX, and ZX. Additionally, Honda has introduced the Signature Black Edition, which is based on the ZX variant.
The company has indicated that over half of its customers have opted for the top-end ZX variant, with eight out of ten customers favouring variants equipped with the CVT transmission.
Honda Elevate: Color Options
The Elevate SUV is available in eight exterior colour choices, including Platinum White Pearl, Golden Brown, Metallic Meteoroid, Gray Metallic, Obsidian Blue, Pearl Lunar Silver Metallic, Radiant Red Metallic, and Phoenix Orange Pearl. Notably, more than 35 per cent of customers have chosen the Platinum White Pearl colour option for their vehicles.
Honda Elevate: Engine, transmission
The Elevate SUV is available in India, featuring a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine generates a power output of 119 bhp at 6,600 rpm and delivers a maximum torque of 145 Nm at 4,300 rpm. Buyers can choose between two transmission options: a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed CVT automatic gearbox.
Honda Elevate: Features
The Elevate SUV is equipped with a variety of features that compete well with its esteemed counterparts. It includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch semi-digital driver display, a wireless charging pad, and a sunroof, among other amenities. Regarding safety, it is fitted with an ADAS package, six airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Hold Assist, and additional safety features.
