Honda CB300R Hits a Glitch: Recalled Over Headlamp Issue in India

5 days ago | 5 Views

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has announced a voluntary recall affecting an unspecified number of CB300R motorcycles due to a defective headlamp unit. This recall pertains to the Honda CB300R models produced between 2018 and 2020 and is part of a worldwide initiative. The CB300R is recognized as the brand's premium neo-retro-styled roadster, available through BigWing dealerships.

Recall of Honda CB300R

The recall has been initiated due to concerns regarding the internal PCB structure of the headlamp in the CB300R. Honda has indicated that the core wires may experience fatigue breaks at the terminal roots, which could lead to flickering or complete failure of the headlight. The company has not disclosed whether any customer complaints or injuries have been reported related to this faulty component.

As part of this proactive measure, Honda will contact affected customers to arrange for the replacement of the defective part at no cost, regardless of the motorcycle's warranty status. This service will be available at BigWing dealerships throughout India. Additionally, CB300R owners can verify if their motorcycle is included in the recall by submitting their unique Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the Honda BigWing website.
