Honda Amaze and Maruti Suzuki Dzire, both sub-compact sedans recently introduced in India, present a range of features that are not available in their competitors, Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor. These two models, launched in close succession, aim to revitalize a segment that has experienced a downturn in sales over the last few years. As the popularity of SUVs continues to rise, the new Amaze and Dzire provide advanced features at a competitive price point that is unmatched by other vehicles in the market.

However, despite their extensive feature sets, both the Amaze and Dzire lack certain important attributes. Below is an overview of five features that the Honda Amaze 2024 does not include, which are available in the Maruti Dzire, as well as five features that the Dzire lacks that can be found in the Amaze sedan.

Honda Cars has made significant updates to the Amaze sedan, enhancing its design, features, and technology. The latest version showcases a refreshed exterior that draws inspiration from its counterparts, the City and Elevate. Competing directly with the new Maruti Dzire, the sub-compact sedan includes features that are absent in its rival.

A standout addition to the new Amaze is the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), making it the most affordable vehicle in India to incorporate this technology, priced under ₹10 lakh. This feature, adapted from other Honda models, marks a first for this segment.

Additionally, the updated Amaze features a semi-digital driver display, replacing the analogue MID found in the Dzire. This seven-inch display provides a range of driving-related information, including details about the ADAS.

However, despite the inclusion of ADAS, the new Honda Amaze does not come equipped with a crucial safety feature such as a 360-degree camera. Instead, the manufacturer has integrated a lane-watch camera on the outside rearview mirrors to assist during maneuvers. The camera feeds are displayed on the touchscreen, aiding the driver while turning.

Furthermore, Honda has introduced paddle shifters in the new Amaze, allowing for manual control over its CVT transmission. The sedan also boasts an increased boot capacity of 416 liters, which is approximately 34 liters more than that of the new Dzire.

The Dzire has undergone significant transformations in its latest iteration, showcasing numerous enhancements in design, features, and technology. The sedan's exterior has been completely redesigned, featuring a refreshed front fascia and incorporating several attributes and technologies that its primary competitor lacks. Notably, the Dzire includes an electric sunroof, a feature that distinguishes it from all other models in its category, marking the first instance of a sub-four metre sedan offering this popular option.

In addition to the sunroof, the Dzire is equipped with essential safety features such as a 360-degree camera and a tyre pressure monitoring system, both of which are absent in the newly launched Amaze sedan. The introduction of the 360-degree camera in the Dzire follows its successful debut in the latest generation of the Swift.

Furthermore, the Dzire appeals more to sedan enthusiasts due to its larger touchscreen infotainment system. The floating 9-inch display surpasses the size of the one found in the new Amaze by approximately one inch. This display supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a range of connected applications.

Lastly, the Dzire features ambient lighting, including footwell illumination for passengers, a detail that Honda has not incorporated into the Amaze 2024.
