Hero MotoCorp introduced the Xtreme 250R naked streetfighter motorcycle in India during the Auto Expo 2025, alongside the Hero Xpulse 210 adventure motorcycle. Both models will be available through the company's premium retail network, Premia. Bookings for these motorcycles are set to begin on March 20, with deliveries expected to start by the end of the month.

Hero MotoCorp aims to establish a strong presence in the premium segment of the Indian two-wheeler market, which has experienced significant growth in demand and sales over the past few years. The Xpulse 210 and Xtreme 250R are pivotal to this strategy. However, the Hero Xtreme 250R will encounter considerable competition from well-established and popular models in the quarter-litre naked streetfighter category. Notable competitors include the Suzuki Gixxer 250, KTM 250 Duke, and Bajaj Pulsar NS200.
