The Hero Xtreme 250R has been officially launched at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, with a starting ex-showroom price of ₹1.80 lakh. This new model is set to be available at dealerships throughout India shortly. Hero MotoCorp has announced via its social media platforms that official bookings for this streetfighter will begin in February 2025, with deliveries expected to start in March. The Xtreme 250R will be available in a single fully equipped variant, offered in three distinct colour options.
Drawing inspiration from the Xtunt 2.5R concept bike showcased at EICMA 2023, the Xtreme 250R serves as the street naked variant of the Karizma XMR 250. It boasts a striking design characterized by a sculpted fuel tank, an aggressive headlight assembly, and an upswept tail. The motorcycle is equipped with a variety of features and is powered by a newly engineered engine. Consequently, the Xtreme 250R signifies Hero MotoCorp’s foray into the quarter-litre motorcycle market in India.
Hero Xtreme 250R: Features
The newly introduced Hero Xtreme 250R is equipped with an auto-illuminating Class-D LED headlamp that includes daytime running lights (DRLs) and offers a split seat design. Additionally, the Xtreme 250R comes with switchable ABS, a lap timer, and a drag timer. This latest Street Naked model will also incorporate an LCD instrument console that provides Bluetooth connectivity, facilitating turn-by-turn navigation and media management.
Hero Xtreme 250R: Specifications
The Hero Xtreme 250R features a trellis frame supported by 43 mm upside-down forks at the front and a rear mono-shock system with six levels of adjustable preload. It is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with tubeless tyres, including a radial tyre at the rear. Braking is managed by disc brakes at both the front and rear, complemented by dual-channel ABS.
This motorcycle is powered by a newly developed 250 cc DOHC, four-valve, single-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed gearbox. This liquid-cooled engine will also be utilized in the Karizma XMR 250, delivering 29.5 bhp at 9,250 rpm and a peak torque of 25 Nm at 7,250 rpm. Hero claims that the Xtreme 250R can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in just 3.25 seconds.
