Hero MotoCorp has quietly phased out the XPulse 200T and Xtreme 200S 4V motorcycles from its product lineup. Both models have been removed from the company's official website. Although the XPulse 200T and Xtreme 200S were based on the XPulse platform, the off-road variant quickly gained popularity, while the other two models struggled to generate comparable interest and encountered difficulties in sales performance. Notably, the Xtreme 200S 4V underwent an update last year, which featured the addition of a four-valve engine along with various other improvements.

The Hero XPulse 200T was engineered with an emphasis on on-road capabilities, incorporating 17-inch alloy wheels and a suspension system designed for limited travel, making it more appropriate for street riding. In contrast, the Xtreme 200S was tailored for sports-oriented commuting, featuring a full fairing and ergonomics that enhance rider comfort. Both models were powered by the same 199.6 cc single-cylinder engine, which utilizes air and oil cooling, and were fitted with a 5-speed transmission. The XPulse 200T was priced at ₹1.40 lakh, while the fully-faired Xtreme 200T was available for ₹1.41 lakh (ex-showroom) before its discontinuation.

The recent announcement aligns with Hero MotoCorp's introduction of the new XPulse 210 at EICMA earlier this year. The forthcoming Hero XPulse 210 is expected to replace the existing model, providing increased power and performance, as well as upgrades in design, equipment, and features. The launch of the XPulse 210 is anticipated to make the 200 cc platform outdated, leading Hero to contemplate the discontinuation of current models before the next-generation XPulse is released to the market.

The Hero XPulse 210 is scheduled for release in 2025.

The Hero XPulse 210 is equipped with the same engine as the Karizma XMR, which raises questions about the potential introduction of an Xtreme 210S to the lineup. Additionally, it remains uncertain whether the XPulse 200T will be updated to feature the 210 cc engine with the arrival of the new XPulse next year.

Hero has not yet provided a specific timeline for the launch of the next-generation XPulse 210, although it is anticipated to debut in the first half of the year. The upcoming XPulse 210 is expected to address several limitations present in the current model. In addition to the XPulse 210, Hero is also planning to launch the Xtreme 250R, Karizma XMR 250, and other models in 2025.
