Hero MotoCorp has introduced updated versions of two of its best-selling commuter motorcycles, the Super Splendor XTEC and Glamour, which now feature powertrains that adhere to the OBD2B emission standards. While both models maintain their recognizable design and core components, these enhancements ensure compliance with stricter emission regulations while continuing to deliver cost-effective performance for urban riders.

Earlier this month, the company also refreshed the Hero Splendor Plus and Hero Passion Plus with engines that meet OBD2B requirements. Like the Super Splendor XTEC and Glamour, both the Splendor Plus and Passion Plus have preserved their fundamental design and features in this update.

Both the Hero Super Splendor XTEC and the Glamour are powered by a 124.7cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine. While their performance characteristics are largely similar, the engines have been updated to meet the latest OBD2B regulations, aligning with contemporary environmental standards.

The Super Splendor XTEC delivers 10.8 hp and 10.6 Nm of torque, paired with a 4-speed transmission. In comparison, the Glamour produces 10 hp and 10.4 Nm, but features a 5-speed gearbox, enhancing its capability for highway travel and providing greater gear flexibility.

In terms of design, both bicycles embody a commuter-friendly aesthetic that prioritizes everyday usability. The Super Splendor XTEC features a straightforward design that seamlessly combines style and practicality, whereas the Glamour infuses a sense of sportiness into the commuter bike category with its bold lines.

The color selections enhance their appeal, with the Super Splendor available in Matt Nexus Blue, Matt Grey, Black, and Candy Blazing Red. The Glamour offers a wider palette, including Candy Blazing Red, Black Metallic Silver, Techno Blue Matt Black, and a unique Black-Sports Red option for the drum model.
