2 months ago | 5 Views

The Isuzu D-Max BEV Concept, an all-electric pickup, was revealed at the Auto Expo 2025. It made its first appearance globally at the 2024 Bangkok International Motor Show in Thailand. This concept closely resembles the diesel version of the D-Max.

The design is pretty much the same as the regular model, except for some blue accents and a tweaked grille that highlight its electric nature. Isuzu claims that the D-Max BEV can carry the same load as the diesel version. Interestingly, this electric pickup is mainly aimed at the European market, with plans to launch in 2025 in places like Norway.

The D-Max BEV is set to launch in more markets soon, including Thailand, the UK, Australia, and more, depending on how much demand there is and how the EV charging infrastructure develops in those regions. It’s powered by a 66.9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The vehicle features two electric motors, one on the front and one on the back.

The front motor delivers 54 bhp and 108 Nm, while the rear motor kicks out 121 bhp and 217 Nm. Together, they generate a total of 174 bhp and 325 Nm of peak torque. The top speed is capped at 130 km/h, and it comes with a full-time 4WD system that powers all four wheels. Plus, it can handle a payload of 1,000 kg and tow up to 3,500 kg.

Isuzu D-Max BEV Concept: Styling

The Isuzu D-Max BEV concept blends classic toughness with a sleek, modern vibe. Up front, it sports a grille-less look with rectangular details, sharp LED headlights, and a glowing Isuzu logo. The sides showcase bold wheel arches and sharp body lines that highlight its off-road prowess, paired with big alloy wheels for that rugged feel. At the back, a clean tailgate design meets distinctive LED taillights, wrapping up the truck's fresh, contemporary style.

Isuzu D-Max BEV Concept: Interior and functionalities

The inside of the Isuzu D-Max BEV concept is all about keeping it simple and practical, using top-notch materials. It comes with a digital display for the driver and a touchscreen infotainment system right on the dashboard, giving you access to navigation, connectivity options, and controls for various vehicle systems.

This concept also packs in some handy features like a 360-degree camera system, an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), dual-zone climate control, and a wireless phone charger, making it super functional and user-friendly.
