Hyundai introduced the Creta Electric on January 17 at the Auto Expo 2025, aiming to establish a presence in the rapidly expanding electric compact SUV market. This segment currently includes five models, such as the Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, and Mahindra BE 6, with the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara also expected to debut later this year. To ensure competitiveness, the Hyundai Creta Electric comes equipped with a comprehensive array of features starting from the base model.
The Hyundai Creta Electric is available in five main variants, featuring two battery pack options. The smaller 42kWh battery is reported to provide a range of 390 km, while the larger 51.4kWh battery boasts a claimed range of 473 km. Priced from ₹17.99 lakh, the Creta Electric is available in five variants: Executive, Smart, Smart (O), Premium, and Excellence. Below is a detailed overview of the features available across all variants.
Hyundai Creta Electric: Executive variant
The Creta Electric, starting at ₹17.99 lakh ex-showroom, is well-equipped from its base model. This electric vehicle variant is offered exclusively with a compact 42kWh battery pack. Externally, it features quad-beam LED headlights, air flaps, auto-folding outside rearview mirrors, a rear wiper with a washer, and an electric tailgate release. Inside, the cabin is adorned with fabric upholstery and a floating central console. The Creta Electric Executive variant boasts dual 10.25-inch displays, one serving as the touchscreen infotainment system and the other as the digital instrument cluster. Additionally, it includes a six-speaker audio system, dual-zone automatic climate control with rear vents, cruise control, push-button start/stop, manual seat height adjustment, and a rear centre armrest equipped with cupholders.
Regarding safety, the base variant of the Creta Electric is equipped with a hill-hold assist, ISOFIX child seat anchors, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), an electronic parking brake with auto-hold functionality, six airbags, and rear parking sensors.
Hyundai Creta Electric: Smart variant
The Smart variant of the Creta Electric is priced ₹1 lakh higher than the base model. At a cost of ₹18.99 lakh, the Creta Electric Smart includes features such as a rear window sunshade, a wireless phone charger, ambient lighting, and a six-way power adjustable driver's seat, in addition to those found in the Executive variant. Externally, this second-from-base trim level is equipped with LED taillights, roof rails, and turn indicators on the outside rearview mirrors (ORVM). Similar to the base trim, the Smart variant is offered exclusively with the 42kWh battery pack.
Hyundai Creta Electric: Smart (O) variant
The Creta Electric Smart (O) serves as the entry-level variant equipped with the larger 51.4kWh battery pack. Additionally, this variant is available with a 42kWh battery pack. The pricing for the Smart (O) featuring the 42kWh battery pack is set at ₹19.50 lakh, ex-showroom, while the model with the 51.4kWh battery pack is priced at ₹21.50 lakh. In terms of features, the Smart (O) does not significantly enhance the offerings of the Smart trim level. However, it does include rear LED reading lights and a panoramic sunroof, which are not present in the Smart trim. Furthermore, the option for the larger battery pack introduces a battery heater.
Hyundai Creta Electric: Premium
The Hyundai Creta Electric Premium represents the highest specification available for the 42kWh battery pack, with a price tag of ₹20 lakh, ex-showroom. It is important to note that this variant does not come with the 51.4kWh battery option. The Premium version of the Creta Electric introduces vehicle-to-load functionality, enabling customers to utilize the three-point power socket located beneath the second row to operate various appliances, such as coffee machines and more.
Additionally, this variant is equipped with an eight-speaker Bose sound system and features Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which include Lane Keeping Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Collision Warning, and Smart Cruise Control with stop-and-go capabilities, among others.
Hyundai Creta Electric: Excellence
The premium Hyundai Creta Electric Excellence is offered at a price of ₹23.50 lakh, ex-showroom. This variant is exclusively equipped with the larger 51.4kWh battery pack and boasts numerous enhancements compared to the Premium trim. Notably, the top variant features leather upholstery, eight-way power-adjustable and ventilated front seats, as well as a cooled glovebox. In the rear cabin, foldable seatback tables are included for added convenience. Furthermore, this trim is equipped with an electrochromic interior rearview mirror with telematic switches, front parking sensors, a digital key, rain-sensing wipers, and blind spot monitoring.
