Audi India has discreetly discontinued the A8 L luxury sedan and the RS5 Sportback from its offerings in the Indian market. Both vehicles were introduced in India as Completely Built Units (CBUs) and have reached the end of their respective global lifecycles. The current generation of the Audi A8 L made its debut in India in 2020, with a final retail price of ₹1.63 crore. In contrast, the Audi RS5 Sportback has been available since 2021, priced at ₹1.13 crore. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom, India.

The fourth-generation Audi A8 L has been available worldwide since 2017, with its Indian launch occurring in 2020, followed by a facelift in July 2022. The A8 L was notable for its various features, including both four and five-seater configurations, a luxurious rear seating experience, and high-quality materials throughout the interior.

The Audi RS5 Sportback stands out as one of the most desirable four-door sedans available in the market. It masterfully combines high performance with everyday practicality in an impressive design. The vehicle features a sleek coupe-like roofline that enhances its aesthetic appeal, complemented by robust bumpers and wheels. Under the hood, it is equipped with a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, delivering 444 bhp and distributing power to all four wheels through the Quattro system. For enthusiasts of the A5 series, the Audi S5 remains available in India. It is worth noting that, similar to the A8, the RS5 Sportback is nearing the end of its production cycle.
Audi has already launched the next-generation S5 globally, and the RS5 is anticipated to follow suit shortly. This new iteration is based on the updated Audi A5, which replaces the now-discontinued A4 sedan. The new A5 lineup will continue to utilize internal combustion engines, while the forthcoming A4 will transition to an all-electric platform.
Although Audi's model range has become more streamlined with the removal of two vehicles, the company is preparing to unveil the RS Q8 facelift on February 17 in India, introducing the performance SUV in a refreshed form. Stay tuned for all the latest updates from the launch event.
