India's top car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki, has just introduced its well-known commercial vehicle, the Tour S. Priced at ₹6.79 lakh, ex-showroom, the Tour S is built on the fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire platform. Initially, Maruti indicated that the new Dzire would only be available for private customers, but it appears they've changed their approach. The Maruti Suzuki Tour S features the same design as the 2024 Dzire. Built on the base LXi variant of the Dzire, the new Tour S showcases a black grille at the front, black door handles, and 14-inch steel wheels on the sides. Notably, it also comes with a shark fin antenna and a black strip on the boot lid. When it comes to color choices, the Tour S offers three options: Arctic White, Splendid Silver, and Bluish Black. In comparison, the Dzire LXi provides a wider selection with six colors, including Nutmeg Brown, Alluring Blue, and Gallant Red, in addition to the shades available for the Tour S.

When it comes to the interior, the Tour S and Dzire LXi share the same design. Both models come equipped with features like a rear defogger and power windows for both the front and back. They also include projector headlights, LED taillights, an LED high-mounted stop lamp, a shark-fin antenna, and a boot lip spoiler. Additionally, they ride on 14-inch steel wheels. Inside, you'll find a stylish black and beige color scheme, a monotone multi-information display (MID), adjustable front headrests, and a tilt-adjustable steering wheel.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire LXi compared to Tour S: Specifications

The 2024 Dzire and Tour S are powered by the same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z-Series petrol engine that first appeared in the Maruti Suzuki Swift. In the Dzire, this engine delivers 80 bhp and 111 Nm of torque. Both the Dzire LXi and Tour S come exclusively with a five-speed manual transmission. Additionally, the Tour S offers a CNG variant of the same engine, which generates 69 bhp and 101.8 Nm of torque. Maruti claims that the petrol version achieves a fuel efficiency of 26.06 kmpl, while the CNG variant boasts 34.30 km/kg.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire LXi compared to Tour S: Pricing

The starting price for the base Dzire LXi is ₹6.84 lakh, excluding showroom costs. On the other hand, the Tour S begins at ₹6.79 lakh for the petrol variant, with the CNG version reaching up to ₹7.74 lakh (also ex-showroom).
