1 Engine
The ZR-V Hybrid incorporates Honda's e:HEV technology, which combines a 2.0-litre Atkinson-cycle petrol engine with two electric motors: one for propulsion and another for energy generation. This system functions in three distinct modes. The first is EV Mode, where the electric motor utilizes energy from the lithium-ion battery, making it ideal for short trips and low-speed driving. The second mode, Hybrid Mode, allows the petrol engine to operate at its most efficient level to produce electricity, which powers the traction motor and recharges the battery. The final mode, Engine Drive Mode, engages the petrol engine to directly drive the wheels at higher speeds through a single-speed gear ratio, enhancing overall efficiency.

2 Design
Honda has refined the ZR-V’s body structure by employing a mix of high-strength steel and lightweight materials, thereby improving rigidity without a significant weight increase. The SUV showcases an aerodynamically designed front end, a gently sloping roofline, and an underbody crafted to minimize drag. These design features collectively enhance fuel efficiency and provide greater stability at highway speeds.

3 Features
The ZR-V Hybrid comes with a fully digital instrument cluster and a high-resolution touchscreen infotainment system that is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The dashboard is designed with an intuitive layout, featuring physical dials for climate control. Additionally, the SUV includes wireless smartphone charging, several USB-C ports, and Honda’s latest voice-activated assistant for hands-free functionality.

4 Specifications
The ZR-V is equipped with a MacPherson strut front suspension and an independent multi-link rear suspension, calibrated to achieve a harmonious balance between comfort and handling stability. The variable-ratio electric power steering (EPS) ensures precise control at lower speeds while providing stability during highway driving. Furthermore, Honda has incorporated Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology to reduce engine and road noise.

5 Safety

The ZR-V Hybrid includes an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) under the Honda Sensing suite. This includes a Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) that utilises a radar and a front camera to detect potential frontal collisions and apply automatic braking. It also gets Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) which can maintain a set distance from the vehicle ahead and can bring the car to a complete stop in traffic. The Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) adjusts steering inputs to keep the car centred in its lane.

Additionally, there is also a Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) system offered in the international market which detects and displays road signs on the instrument cluster for driver awareness.
