The Kia Syros represents one of the newest additions to the sub-compact SUV market. Notably, it is the second model introduced by Kia in this category. The company positions the Syros as a more upscale option within the segment, aiming to attract a youthful and technologically inclined demographic. To align with this vision, the SUV is equipped with a comprehensive array of features that are typically expected in this class. Additionally, the Syros includes amenities that are often found in vehicles from a higher segment.

Consequently, the Kia Syros is priced at a premium compared to its competitors in the sub-compact SUV arena. With a starting price of ₹9 lakh, it stands as the most expensive option in its category. The top-tier model, priced at ₹17.80 lakh, surpasses even some compact SUVs available in the market. Nevertheless, the HTK plus trim, starting at ₹11.50 lakh, offers the best value proposition within the lineup. Here’s an overview of its advantages.

Kia Syros HTK Plus: Features

The Syros is equipped as standard with a 12.30-inch touchscreen infotainment system that includes wireless phone connectivity, a reverse camera featuring dynamic guidelines, power-adjustable mirrors and windows, rear air conditioning vents, door curtains, and four Type-C USB charging ports. The HTK Plus variant, which is the third option available, enhances the offering with 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and auto-folding power-adjustable mirrors.

In addition to these features, the HTK Plus variant boasts a panoramic sunroof, grey dual-tone upholstery, and split-folding rear seats. Notably, it is the first variant to introduce the Syros’ unique feature of reclining rear seats. The AT variant includes additional amenities such as a push start-stop button, a follow-me-home function for the headlights, various drive modes, and an electric parking brake.

Kia Syros HTK Plus: Specs

The Kia Syros HTK Plus presents an option for both petrol and diesel engines, which can be paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It is noteworthy that the HTK Plus is the first variant in the series to offer the dual-clutch transmission option.

The 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which can be combined with either the six-speed manual or the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, generates 118 bhp and 172 Nm of torque. In contrast, the 1.5-litre diesel engine, delivering 116 bhp and 250 Nm of torque, is exclusively paired with the six-speed manual transmission in the HTK Plus variant.

Kia Syros HTK Plus: Price

The starting price for the Syros HTK Plus is ₹11.50 lakh for the petrol manual variant, whereas the DCT variant is priced at ₹12.80 lakh. The diesel variant is available at a price of ₹12.50 lakh. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom.
