The 2025 TVS Ronin was recently unveiled at the company's MotoSoul 2024 event held in Goa. The updated model will now feature a dual-channel anti-lock braking system starting from the mid-variant, whereas previously, this system was exclusive to the top-end variants. The base variant will still be equipped with a single-channel anti-lock braking system. Currently, the Ronin is priced between ₹1.35 lakh and ₹1.73 lakh, and it is anticipated that the new model will carry a marginally higher price compared to its predecessor.
The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 Flex Fuel was initially presented at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024, with its launch anticipated for the 2025 edition of the event. While Bajaj has not disclosed any specific details regarding the Pulsar NS160 flex-fuel, the manufacturer has indicated that the motorcycle operates on a blend of ethanol and gasoline, offering consumers greater flexibility in fuel choices while also minimizing environmental impact. The bike remains equipped with a 160.3cc, air/oil-cooled engine, although the exact power output has yet to be announced.
The Hero XPulse 210 adventure motorcycle was officially unveiled at the 2024 EICMA Motorcycle Show. This latest iteration represents a significant advancement over the existing Hero XPulse 200 4V, featuring enhancements across nearly all aspects. The development of the new Hero XPulse 210 involved contributions from FIM World Champion Ross Branch, a member of the Hero Motorsports Team Rally, and its design draws inspiration from Hero's Dakar racing motorcycles.
The XPulse 210 is equipped with a larger 210 cc single-cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine, delivering an output of 24.5 bhp and a peak torque of 20.4 Nm. It is complemented by a 6-speed transmission that includes a slip-and-assist clutch.
Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India is set to introduce its first electric two-wheeler in the nation. The Honda Activa e and the QC 1 were both revealed in November 2024. The Honda Activa e utilizes the same body and frame as the traditional Activa, positioning itself against other electric commuter models that are comparable to a 110 cc internal combustion engine. Equipped with two Honda Mobile Power Pack e: swappable batteries, the Activa e powers a wheel-side motor with a rated output of 5.6 bhp and a peak output of 8 bhp. The manufacturer asserts that this electric scooter can achieve a range of 102 kilometres on a single charge.
In contrast, the Honda QC1 features a 1.5 kWh fixed battery, which is said to incorporate high-energy density and long-cycle life battery cells. This battery can be recharged at home with a specialized charger. The QC1 is driven by a compact in-wheel motor that delivers 1.6 bhp, with a maximum output of 2.4 bhp. The QC1 is claimed to have a range of 80 kilometres on a single charge.
Ola Electric had earlier confirmed that it plans to launch its Gen 3 electric scooters in January 2025, possibly during the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Ola plans to grow its scooter lineup under the Gen 3 platform, with five new models starting under two new brands: S2 and Besides the already The S2 lineup will feature three distinct models: a City scooter designed for brief urban journeys, a Tourer optimized for extended travel, and a Sport variant aimed at enthusiasts seeking speed. Conversely, the S3 sub-brand, positioned in the premium segment, will introduce two maxi-scooters—the Grand Adventure and Grand Tourer—emphasizing comfort, luxury, and superior performance.
The Gen 3 architecture is characterized by a fully integrated design approach, wherein the battery, magnetless motor, and electronic components are housed within the chassis. This innovative design is anticipated to enhance performance by 26 per cent and decrease costs by over 20 per cent compared to previous models.
