2 months ago | 5 Views

Isuzu Motor India is preparing to present its products at the forthcoming Auto Expo 2025, with the highlight being the all-electric D-Max BEV concept. The company has announced that this innovative D-Max BEV concept will be featured at Bharat Mobility 2025, almost a year following its global introduction at the 2024 Bangkok International Motor Show in Thailand.

Isuzu D-Max BEV Concept: What Is It?

The Isuzu D-Max BEV concept serves as a preview for an electrified variant of the diesel pick-up truck, which the manufacturer claims maintains the same payload capacity as its diesel equivalent. Visually, the concept closely resembles the production model, with the exception of blue accents and a modified grille that signify its electric powertrain. It is equipped with a 66.9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, and power is generated by two electric motors, one located on each axle. The front motor delivers 54 bhp and 108 Nm of torque, while the rear motor generates 121 bhp and 217 Nm. The total output is 174 bhp with a peak torque of 325 Nm.

Isuzu D-Max BEV Concept: Production Plans

The maximum speed is limited to 130 km/h, with power distributed to all four wheels through a full-time four-wheel-drive system. This concept vehicle boasts a payload capacity of 1,000 kg and a towing capacity of 3,500 kg. Isuzu announced last year that the D-Max BEV is set to commence production in 2025 for markets such as Norway, followed by the UK, Australia, Thailand, and other regions. This initiative indicates the automaker's intention to introduce the model in India in the future.

It is important to highlight that the D-Max V-Cross has experienced a generational update globally, which has yet to reach the Indian market. Additionally, the automaker presented the D-Max Hi-Lander MHEV prototype at the Bangkok Motor Show last year. This prototype, based on the new-generation D-Max, features a 48-volt mild-hybrid system combined with a 1.9-liter turbo diesel engine. We anticipate receiving information regarding the arrival of the new generation D-Max in India at the forthcoming Auto Expo.

Isuzu Vehicles At Bharat Mobility 2025

Isuzu Motor India is expected to showcase its complete lineup at the event, which will include the new D-Max BEV concept, the current D-Max diesel pick-up available for sale, various commercial versions of the D-Max, and the ambulance variant. Additionally, the Isuzu MU-X SUV will also be featured prominently.
