The BYD Sealion 7 made its debut in India at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 and is now being delivered to dealerships nationwide. This new SUV is scheduled for launch in India on February 17, 2025, with pricing details to be revealed on the same date. The Chinese manufacturer has commenced bookings for the Sealion 7, requiring a deposit of ₹70,000, with deliveries expected to start in March 2025.

The Sealion 7 was a prominent highlight at the Chinese automaker's exhibit during the Auto Expo in New Delhi in January 2025. This all-electric SUV will feature LED lighting throughout, a panoramic sunroof, a 15.6-inch rotating infotainment screen, a heads-up display, and a 10.25-inch driver’s display.

Moreover, the Sealion 7 will come equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite, 11 airbags, dual-zone climate control, and power-adjustable front seats that include ventilation and heating, among other features.

This four-door battery electric SUV showcases a fastback design with a roofline that slopes gently downward. It will be the fourth BYD vehicle introduced in India and follows the design principles established by the Atto 3, the Seal, and the latest eMax 7. The Sealion 7 is characterized by its sweptback LED headlights and LED daytime running lights (DRL). The wheel arches are accentuated with black cladding, and the SUV features wraparound rear taillights linked by an LED bar. Additionally, the BYD Sealion 7 is designed with a dual-tone rear bumper and a spoiler, and it will be offered in four color options.

BYD Sealion 7: Battery and range

In terms of power and range, the BYD Sealion 7 will be equipped with an 82.5 kWh battery pack and will be available in both single and dual electric motor configurations. The rear-wheel drive version delivers 308 bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque, promising a range of 482 km on a single charge. The dual motor configuration, intended for the all-wheel drive variant, produces 523 bhp and 690 Nm of maximum torque, with a claimed range of up to 502 km on a single charge.
