The BMW Z4 M40i Pure Impulse Edition, a limited edition of the Z4 roadster, has been launched in India. This exclusive model includes several enhancements, notably a 6-speed manual transmission alongside the well-known 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic option.

The pricing for the Z4 Pure Impulse Edition is set at ₹96.90 lakh for the automatic variant and ₹97.90 lakh for the manual version, with all prices reflecting ex-showroom costs. This special edition arrives in India as a Completely Built-Up Unit (CBU).

Visually, the Z4 M40i Pure Impulse Edition is distinguished by two new metallic shades—Frozen Deep Green and Sanremo Green. The roadster is equipped with an aggressive staggered wheel setup, featuring 19-inch wheels at the front and 20-inch wheels at the rear, enhancing both its aesthetic appeal and performance capabilities.

The design is further accentuated by a new kidney grille with a horizontal mesh pattern, vertically aligned LED headlights, and a sleek rear end with L-shaped tail lamps, complemented by a sporty spoiler and diffuser that contribute to its dynamic styling.

Inside, the cabin of the BMW combines sporty elegance with advanced technology. The manual transmission variant receives a special treatment, showcasing Vernasca Cognac leather upholstery with unique stitching. Standard features include M Sport seats, a leather-wrapped M steering wheel, and high-gloss black trim.

Technological offerings are highlighted by a 10.25-inch digital cockpit and touchscreen display, powered by BMW Operating System 7.0. This system supports wireless Apple CarPlay, 3D navigation, and Bluetooth connectivity. Practical elements such as door bins, storage behind the seats, and a through-loading system enhance the vehicle's usability.

Regarding safety, the Z4 M40i Pure Impulse Edition is equipped with dual airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with brake assist, Cornering Brake Control, Dynamic Stability Control, and side-impact protection.

Both variants are powered by a BMW 3.0-litre inline-six turbocharged petrol engine that delivers 335 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. The manual version is reported to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, while the automatic variant achieves this in 4.5 seconds. Key mechanical features include Adaptive M Sport suspension, M Sport brakes, and an M Sport differential, ensuring an almost ideal 50:50 weight distribution.

Additionally, BMW integrates EfficientDynamics technology, which includes Auto Start-Stop, ECO PRO mode, and Brake Energy Regeneration, allowing for high performance without sacrificing efficiency.
