The 2025 BMW X3 has officially been introduced in India during the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The starting price for the petrol variant is set at ₹75.80 lakh (ex-showroom), while the diesel variant is priced at ₹77.80 lakh (ex-showroom). This model will be produced locally at the company's manufacturing facility in Chennai.

The fourth generation of the X3 made its worldwide debut in 2024 and is constructed on a new platform. Compared to its predecessor, the new BMW X3 has increased in size, measuring 4,755 mm in length—34 mm longer—and 1,920 mm in width—29 mm wider. However, its height has been reduced by 29 mm, now standing at 1,660 mm. The broader rear track contributes to a sportier appearance, although the overall shape remains similar to that of the smaller X1.

2025 BMW X3: Exterior design

The 2025 BMW X3 showcases an updated design aesthetic, highlighted by its larger and more pronounced kidney grilles. Additionally, the grille has been enhanced with new internal features that emit a white illumination. Buyers can opt for new adaptive LED headlights that include cornering functionality and distinctive blue design elements.

The headlights are now more prominent, featuring two overlapping L-shaped components that seem to connect with the kidney grille. The slender air curtains mirror the L-shaped design of the headlights. The vehicle is also equipped with reinforced side skirts and T-shaped taillights that incorporate rear indicators.

2025 BMW X3: Features

The interior of the BMW X3 features newly designed electrically adjustable heated and ventilated sport seats in the front, complemented by three distinct upholstery options. Additionally, the dashboard can be optionally covered with eco-friendly polyester fabric. LED strips have been integrated into the cabin, creating U-shaped patterns that can display various colors.

The vehicle is equipped with a curved panoramic display that seamlessly integrates the infotainment system with the digital instrument cluster, operating on BMW Operating System 9. The cabin is enhanced with customizable ambient lighting, which can be adjusted through three My Modes: Personal, Sport, and Efficient. The selected mode influences the vehicle's performance, displayed information, and lighting synchronization. Furthermore, BMW has introduced a subscription-based BMW Digital Premium service, enhancing navigation and expanding the functionality of the integrated voice assistant.

The X3 also offers an optional Driving Assistant Professional Package, which includes features such as Lane Keeping Assistant with Side Collision Protection, Active Blind Spot Detection, and Distance Control. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a Traffic Jam Assistant, enabling hands-free driving at lower speeds of up to 60 km/h. Standard features include the Parking Assistant, along with the Backup Assistant and a rearview camera.

2025 BMW X3: Powertrain options

The 2025 BMW X3 gets a choice of two powertrain options, a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine and a 2.0L diesel mill. The turbo petrol unit available with the X3 20i produces 206 bhp and 320 Nm of torque and gets mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the X3 20d, which gets the 2.0L four-cylinder diesel engine produces 197 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. The diesel engine also gets paired with the eight-speed automatic transmission.

2025 BMW X3: Bookings and deliveries

The bookings for the 2025 BMW X3 have commenced. Customers can book the vehicle either through the company’s website or at the dealerships.
