BMW Motorrad has introduced the 2025 C 400 GT scooter in the Indian market, priced at ₹11.50 lakh (ex-showroom). This model is categorized as a premium maxi-scooter, combining performance and advanced technology while prioritizing comfort. The new version is priced ₹25,000 more than its predecessor and is designed for both daily commuting and long-distance touring. With its updated pricing, design, and storage capabilities, the maxi-scooter maintains its status as one of the most luxurious options available in the country.
Design and styling
In terms of design and styling, the 2025 BMW C 400 GT retains the hallmark features of a maxi-scooter, showcasing sharp lines and an aerodynamic silhouette. It is available in two color options: Blackstorm Metallic and Diamond White Metallic, both included in the Exclusive variant. This variant further elevates the scooter's premium character with golden rims, a black seat bench adorned with an embroidered emblem, and golden brake calipers.
Features and convenience
BMW Motorrad has enhanced the storage capabilities of the new C 400 GT, catering to the needs of touring enthusiasts. The scooter now includes a 4.5-litre compartment on the right side and a 37.6-litre underseat storage area, with adjustments made to the seat tub to maximize the available space.
In terms of safety, the scooter is equipped with features such as lean-sensitive ABS, Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), and engine drag torque control, known as MSR, to provide additional security.
Standard equipment includes a 6.5-inch TFT display, with an option for a larger 10.25-inch TFT display that incorporates Connectivity Pro. This upgrade offers enhanced navigation, media, and smartphone integration through a high-resolution interface. Additionally, a built-in charging unit located in the left storage compartment, along with USB-C and 12V ports, facilitates convenient charging while on the move.
Engine and performance
The 2025 BMW C 400 GT is powered by a 350 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that generates 33.5 hp at 7,500 rpm and delivers a peak torque of 35 Nm at 5,750 rpm. This engine is coupled with a CVT transmission, ensuring a smooth power delivery. The scooter also features advanced rider assistance technologies, including ABS with lean-sensitive braking, dynamic brake control, and traction control, which contribute to enhanced safety and handling.
