The BMW F 450 GS adventure motorcycle is set to be officially revealed by the conclusion of 2025, according to an announcement from the German automotive manufacturer on its social media platforms. The motorcycle was recently presented in its concept version at the Auto Expo that took place in January 2025 in New Delhi. Upon entering production, it will be manufactured locally by TVS, which is BMW Motorrad’s partner in India. The F 450 GS made its debut at the EICMA 2024 event in Milan, Italy, and will be positioned above the BMW G 310 GS.

The F 450 GS concept takes inspiration from the design elements of the larger GS models. The front beak and headlamp assembly evoke the R 1300 GS, while the rear section and the sharply contoured fuel tank design bear similarities to the F 900 GS.

This model will be equipped with a 450 cc inline twin-cylinder engine, which BMW Motorrad claims has been entirely newly developed. It is expected to produce 48 bhp and is optimized for excellent torque delivery at lower engine speeds. BMW has introduced a "never-before-used" ignition offset, enhancing the engine's responsiveness and lively character in the adventure segment. Additionally, the incorporation of materials such as magnesium is reported to have played a significant role in achieving the engine's compact and lightweight design.

The chassis of the F 450 GS has been meticulously engineered from the outset to ensure agility in both on-road and off-road environments. The adventure motorcycle is fitted with upside-down (USD) forks at the front and a rear shock absorber that offers load-dependent damping. With a weight of 175 kg, it is likely to feature 19-inch front and 17-inch rear tubeless wire-spoke wheels.

The BMW F 450 GS is equipped with an extensive array of rider aids and features. It includes a 6.5-inch TFT display that supports Bluetooth connectivity, allowing for functionalities such as call and SMS notifications, media controls, and turn-by-turn navigation. Additionally, the ADV is designed with lean-sensitive ABS and offers three customizable riding modes to suit the preferences of the rider.
