The BMW F 450 GS adventure motorcycle is anticipated to be introduced in India around mid-2025. BMW Motorrad presented the concept version of the F 450 GS at EICMA 2024, offering a glimpse of this middleweight adventure bike.

BMW F 450 GS: Design

The BMW F 450 GS draws inspiration from the larger GS series motorcycles produced by the renowned German manufacturer, including the R 1300 GS. It features an angular front beak, sharply contoured radiator shrouds, and a substantial fuel tank, complemented by a slender side profile and an elegant tail section. In summary, the BMW F 450 GS is unmistakably a member of the BMW GS series adventure motorcycle family. BMW Motorrad's objective with the F 450 GS was to create an adventure bike that is both lightweight and highly maneuverable.

The production version of the BMW F 450 GS will be outfitted with various features, including traction control, dual-channel ABS, cornering ABS, multiple riding modes, and several additional aids. It remains uncertain whether these features will be standard or optional. Additionally, the motorcycle will be equipped with a TFT instrument display.

BMW F 450 GS: Brake, suspension

The BMW F 450 GS, based on the F 450 GS concept, will feature advanced hardware, including a fully adjustable upside-down front fork and a monoshock absorber with load-dependent damping. This adventure motorcycle has a weight of 175 kg and is fitted with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels. Buyers will have the option of alloy wheels or tubeless wire-spoke wheels. For its braking system, the motorcycle is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels.

BMW F 450 GS: Powertrain

The forthcoming BMW F 450 GS will be equipped with an entirely new 450 cc parallel-twin engine, which is expected to deliver a peak power output of 48 bhp. According to BMW Motorrad, this motorcycle will feature a unique ignition offset that has not been utilized before, allowing for impressive high-rev performance while maintaining a distinctive character. The adventure motorcycle will also be fitted with a six-speed transmission system.
