Auto Expo 2025 has showcased the finest offerings from the nation's automotive manufacturers, or at least what they intend to present. Although there is a significant emphasis on electric vehicles (EVs), a wide array of technological innovations is also on display.
While every car model holds its unique significance at the event, certain models stand out as particularly exceptional. If you intend to attend Auto Expo 2025, with public days commencing on Sunday, it is advisable to consider the following recommendations.
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara
The first-ever Maruti all-electric model has a special place at Auto Expo 2025. While prices are not known yet, the country's largest carmaker has pitched the e Vitara has the beginning of an electric car revolution. The e Vitara looks different from any Maruti Suzuki model we have seen so far and also promises a far more premium cabin. With two battery pack options and a best - claimed - range of 500 kilometres, don't expect the e Vitara to be within budget for most buyers. And while we have to wait for the official launch for the pricing, expect it to be upwards of ₹20 lakhs, possibly even touching ₹30 lakhs for the All-Wheel Drive version.
Tarun Garg (second from the left), Chief Operating Officer and Whole-time Director at Hyundai Motor India, alongside Unsoo Kim (right), Managing Director at Hyundai Motor India, attended the unveiling of the Creta EV at Auto Expo 2025. Hyundai has expanded its electric vehicle lineup in the country with the introduction of the well-known and favored Creta, now available in an electric variant. While it largely resembles the conventional engine version of the Creta, there are several distinctive features both externally and within the interior. The Creta EV is designed to offer a driving range of up to 470 kilometers when equipped with the larger battery pack, and it is available with two different battery pack options.
MG Cyberster
The MG Cyberster is equipped with a 77 kWh battery pack, providing a single-charge range of 507 km. While the pricing details for the MG Cyberster remain undisclosed, it has been presented at Auto Expo 2025, and the reservation window is now open. This striking vehicle features scissor doors and delivers more than 500 bhp, with an anticipated range of approximately 400 kilometers per charge.
BMW X1 LWB
The BMW X1 LWB Electric has made its debut with an introductory ex-showroom price of ₹49 lakh at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This all-electric SUV is noteworthy as it has the potential to enhance BMW's standing in the luxury electric vehicle market. Notably, the iX continues to be the top-selling luxury EV in India. The X1 LWB EV, however, is expected to provide an improved interior experience while maintaining a dynamic performance on the road.
Mercedes CLA Concept
Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the CLA Concept at Auto Expo 2025. Among the most impressive vehicles featured at the event is a striking red Mercedes. Despite being a concept vehicle, the Mercedes CLA Concept boasts a four-door design, a sleek profile with a sloping roofline, and substantial 21-inch alloy wheels. The eye-catching LED light signature on the front is undoubtedly the highlight of this display.
