Tata Harrier and Safari Introduce Stealth Edition

Tata Motors has unveiled the Stealth Editions of the Harrier and Safari in the Indian market. The Harrier Stealth Edition is priced at ₹24.85 lakh, while the Safari Stealth Edition is available for ₹25.30 lakh. There have been no alterations to the engine and transmission options; however, the new variants of the Harrier and Safari feature several cosmetic and functional enhancements.

The Stealth Edition SUVs are now offered in a new Matte Stealth Black colour scheme. The alloy wheels, measuring 19 inches, are finished in matte black with a diamond-cut design. Additionally, a Stealth mascot has been added to the front fender. The interior boasts a Carbon Noir theme, complete with leather seats and Granite Black Deco-stitching. The dashboard also features a Carbon Noir finish, utilizing soft-touch materials and leather.

Honda NX200 motorcycle launched at 1.68 lakh

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has introduced the new NX200, which is priced at ₹1.68 lakh (ex-showroom). The Honda NX200 is essentially a rebranding of the CB200X, a model that has been available in the Indian market for several years. This updated version aligns the CB200X with the larger NX500 in terms of its naming convention.

The NX200 features a revised 184.4 cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that complies with the OBD-2B regulations. The engine produces 16.76 bhp at 8,500 rpm and delivers a peak torque of 15.7 Nm at 6,000 rpm, and it is mated to a 5-speed transmission that includes an assist and slipper clutch.

In a separate development, Audi India has discontinued the A8 L luxury sedan and the RS5 Sportback from its offerings in the country. Both vehicles were imported as Completely Built Units (CBUs) and have reached the end of their respective life cycles globally. The current generation of the Audi A8 L was launched in India in 2020, with a final retail price of ₹1.63 crore. The Audi RS5 Sportback has been available since 2021, with a price tag of ₹1.13 crore, both prices being ex-showroom, India.

Although Audi's lineup has become more streamlined with the removal of these two models, the company is preparing to launch the RS Q8 facelift on February 17 in India, presenting the performance SUV in a refreshed form. Stay tuned for all the updates from the launch event.

Indian auto industry clocks highest sales in January

The Indian automotive sector commenced 2025 on a favourable note, demonstrating commendable growth across various segments. As per the data published by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the industry experienced a moderate year-on-year increase of 2.5 per cent in overall domestic sales. In January 2025, total domestic sales reached 1,935,696 units across all segments, compared to 1,888,648 units sold in January 2024.

The passenger vehicle segment achieved its highest monthly sales to date in January, recording a year-on-year growth of 1.6 per cent with total domestic sales amounting to 399,386 units. This is an increase from the 393,474 passenger vehicles sold domestically in the same month the previous year.

Additionally, the two-wheeler segment also reported year-on-year growth of 2.5 per cent, with total domestic sales of 1,935,696 units in January. This reflects an increase from the 1,888,648 units sold in the corresponding month of the previous year.
