The Ather Rizta was introduced earlier this year as the brand's inaugural model aimed at family consumers, and it is poised to experience its initial price increase. Dealers have communicated to HT Auto that the revised pricing for the Rizta will take effect on January 1, 2025, marking the conclusion of the introductory pricing period. The anticipated price increase is projected to be in the range of ₹5,000-6,000 above the current rates. The Rizta was initially launched with a price starting at ₹1.10 lakh, reaching up to ₹1.46 lakh (ex-showroom).

Ather Rizta Battery, Motor, & Range

The Ather Rizta is offered in three distinct variants: S, Z (2.9 kWh), and Z (3.7 kWh). Both the Rizta S and Z variants are equipped with a 2.9 kWh battery, providing a range of 123 km (IDC) on a single charge. The premium Rizta Z variant features a 3.9 kWh battery, extending the range to 159 km (IDC). The vehicle is powered by a 4.3 kW (5.7 bhp) motor, delivering a peak torque of 22 Nm. It accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in 4.7 seconds, while the maximum speed is capped at 80 km/h across all variants.

Ather Rizta Space

The Ather Rizta is crafted to meet the needs of every family member. Its rounded dimensions provide ample space, featuring the longest seat available in its category. Additionally, it boasts a generous 34-litre under-seat storage compartment, with an optional accessory that increases the storage capacity by an additional 22 litres. The electric scooter is equipped with 12-inch alloy wheels at both the front and rear.

Ather Rizta Features

The S trim is equipped with a 7-inch LCD screen, whereas the higher Z variants feature a 7-inch TFT display. Both versions offer Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Additionally, the electric scooter is capable of displaying WhatsApp notifications and includes Alexa voice assistance, among other functionalities. Essential traction control is provided by Skid Control, while the top variant is enhanced with the Magic Twist feature, which offers improved control over regenerative braking. Premium features can be accessed through Pro packs, which are priced between ₹13,000 and ₹20,000.

The Ather Rizta has experienced a decline in sales relative to its competitors, such as the TVS iQube, Ola S1 Pro, and Bajaj Chetak, which are presently the leading e-scooters in the market. Additionally, the Rizta will compete with the Vida V2, an enhanced iteration of the Vida V1, as well as the forthcoming Honda Active e, which is set to feature battery-swapping technology.
