Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Leads Indian Passenger Vehicle Sales

The Maruti Suzuki Wagon R has reclaimed its status as the best-selling passenger vehicle in India for the financial year 2024-25. Notably, it surpassed the Tata Punch, which had held the top sales position in the calendar year 2024. In FY25, Maruti Suzuki sold 198,451 units of the Wagon R, slightly down from the 200,177 units sold in FY24. Additionally, the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10, recognized as India’s most economical car, ranked as the 15th best-selling passenger vehicle in FY25 with total sales of 102,232 units. Remarkably, seven of the top ten best-selling passenger vehicles in India for the fiscal year were from the Maruti Suzuki range.

Tata Surpasses Mahindra to Secure Third Place in FY2025 Passenger Vehicle Sales; Punch EV Remains the Top-Selling Electric Car

Tata Motors announced its sales figures for FY2025, reporting a total of 556,263 passenger vehicles (including domestic and export sales), thereby surpassing Mahindra & Mahindra, which sold 551,487 units in the previous fiscal year, marking its highest annual sales to date. Tata's passenger vehicle sales in FY2025 experienced a three percent decline compared to the 573,495 units sold in FY2024. The Tata Punch EV maintained its position as the brand's best-selling electric vehicle last year.

Citroen C3, Basalt and C3 Aircross confirmed to get ‘Dark’ editions

Citroen India has recently shared a teaser on its social media channels showcasing the Citroen C3, Citroen Basalt, and Citroen C3 Aircross, all featuring a 'Dark Edition.' This trio of SUVs is expected to launch in the Indian market soon, embracing a dark aesthetic. As is typical with dark editions, these vehicles will primarily undergo visual modifications rather than mechanical enhancements.
