Anurag Kashyap just picked up his brand-new Mahindra XEV 9e, an all-electric coupe-SUV, in Thane. The keys were officially handed over by Ajit Pai, CEO of Mahindra Modi, along with Kailash Joshi, VP of Mahindra Modi. The starting price for the Mahindra XEV 9e is ₹21.90 lakh, reaching up to ₹30.50 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom and introductory).

Besides his new Mahindra SUV, the director also has a Mahindra XUV500 in his collection. The recently acquired SUV is built on Mahindra's innovative born-electric INGLO platform, which the company claims offers spacious interiors, stability, and excellent handling. Additionally, the INGLO platform features a robust boron steel frame and a protective cage around the passenger area, ensuring high safety levels for occupants.

Mahindra XEV 9e: Styling

The Mahindra XEV 9e boasts a stylish coupe SUV design, showcasing triangular LED headlights and wide LED daytime running lights. Its coupe-inspired shape is enhanced by L-shaped connected LED daytime running lights and streamlined LED taillights. The overall look is robust, featuring sharp character lines and a glowing logo that adds to its appeal.

Mahindra XEV 9e: Key Features

The interior of the Mahindra XEV 9e features an impressive triple-screen setup that takes center stage on the dashboard, creating a luxurious feel. This layout includes three 12.3-inch screens running on Mahindra's Adrenox software, which offers a touchscreen infotainment system along with a display for the driver. The SUV also boasts a stylish twin-spoke multifunction steering wheel with a lit-up logo.

On top of that, the SUV comes with perks like a wireless phone charger, a 16-speaker sound system, a panoramic sunroof, automatic parking capabilities, and a comprehensive advanced driving assistance system (ADAS).

Mahindra XEV 9e: Engine and Performance System

The XEV 9e is built on the Mahindra INGLO platform and offers two battery options: 59 kWh and 79 kWh. It features lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, which are recognized for their superior thermal safety and longevity. This SUV boasts quick charging capabilities, allowing it to go from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes when plugged into a 175 kW DC fast charger. Its electric powertrains can produce peak power ranging from 224 bhp to 278 bhp for the rear wheels. According to Mahindra, the 79 kWh battery can deliver around 500 km of range on a single charge.
