MG Comet EV has garnered significant attention following its launch in India, attributed to its ultra-compact dimensions, premium features, and practical performance. The competitive pricing of this electric hatchback has also been instrumental in boosting its attractiveness. Currently, JSW MG Motor India is preparing to introduce a special edition of the EV, named the MG Comet Blackstorm Edition.

This special edition of the Comet EV will be derived from the existing variants but will feature cosmetic enhancements and additional equipment to set it apart from the standard model. In terms of pricing, the forthcoming special edition of the MG Comet is expected to be slightly more expensive than the standard variant.

MG Comet Blackstorm Edition: What to expect

The forthcoming MG Comet Blackstorm will feature a black exterior similar to that of other Blackstorm Edition models, including the Gloster, Hector, and ZS EV, which have been previously introduced by the manufacturer. In addition to the all-black exterior design, the vehicle is anticipated to showcase red accents on various components such as the front bumper skid plates, fog lamp surrounds, wheel caps, and side cladding. Other unique styling features will comprise a red font for the 'Morris Garages branding and a distinctive badge positioned on the front fender, among others.

The interior of the MG Comet Blackstorm will feature modifications akin to those found in other models of the Blackstorm Edition from the manufacturer. Anticipate a cohesive all-black sporty aesthetic within the cabin. Additionally, the Comet Blackstorm will include leatherette seating complemented by distinctive branding. The feature set of this electric hatchback is expected to align with that of the current variants, including four speakers among various other amenities.

Regarding the powertrain, the MG Comet Blackstorm is anticipated to utilize the same configuration as the standard model, as the mechanical aspects of the other Blackstorm Edition vehicles have remained consistent with their standard versions. The MG Comet EV is equipped with a 17.4 kWh prismatic cell battery pack. This battery, in conjunction with a 41 bhp electric motor, enables the vehicle to achieve a range of 230 kilometres on a single charge.
