Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 is scheduled to begin on January 17, 2025. It is anticipated that Kia India will present the 2025 EV6 at the event. The 2025 Kia EV6 was initially revealed in South Korea in 2024 and subsequently displayed at the Los Angeles International Auto Show in November 2024.
The Kia EV6 made its debut in India in 2022. Additionally, earlier in 2024, the company secured a patent for the design of the 2024 Kia EV6 in India. The South Korean automotive manufacturer intends to introduce a new electric vehicle in India during the latter half of this year.
2025 Kia EV6: Design
The most notable changes to the EV6 facelift are evident at the front. Conventional headlights have been replaced with sleek LED daytime running lights and headlamps inspired by the EV3 and EV4 Concepts, as well as the production versions of the EV6 and EV9. The front fascia has been thoroughly reimagined, featuring updates to the bumper and lower grille, which lend a more modern and assertive look to the crossover.
The rest of the exterior largely maintains its original design, with the exception of the introduction of stylish new black and silver wheels available in 19-inch and 20-inch sizes. The rear continues to display the distinctive single LED light bar that spans the width of the vehicle, thereby retaining the hallmark design element of the EV6.
2025 Kia EV6: Interior
The interior of the 2025 EV6 showcases several significant improvements. Central to the cabin is a newly designed curved panoramic display that integrates the digital instrument cluster with the infotainment system in a cohesive manner. Kia has revamped the two-spoke steering wheel and introduced a fingerprint recognition feature, enabling authorized users to start the vehicle without the need for a conventional key. Furthermore, the updated model now supports wireless connectivity for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, addressing contemporary connectivity requirements.
Kia has also implemented over-the-air updates for the EV6 facelift. Initially limited to navigation, these updates now extend to crucial electronic control systems, enhancing the vehicle's adaptability and longevity. Additional interior upgrades include a digital rear-view mirror, an enhanced head-up display, and an augmented reality navigation system, similar to those found in the latest Genesis models.
2025 Kia EV6: Specs
The revised Kia EV6 is equipped with Hyundai Motor Group's state-of-the-art 84 kWh battery, which supersedes the previous 77.4 kWh version. This upgrade extends the range of the rear-wheel drive model to 494 kilometers in Korea, an increase from the earlier 475 kilometres. The new battery supports 350 kW DC fast charging, enabling a charge from 10 to 80 per cent in just 18 minutes.
The standard rear-wheel drive configurations generate 225 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. For those seeking enhanced performance, the dual-motor versions offer 320 bhp and 605 Nm of torque. Furthermore, Kia has optimized the EV6’s frequency-selective dampers to enhance ride comfort, reduce motor noise, and fortify the body structure for improved safety.
