The Jeep Compass stands as the most successful offering from the renowned American automaker within the Indian market. Introduced in India in April 2017, the SUV has not undergone any major updates since its debut. Currently, the manufacturer is preparing to unveil the next generation of the Jeep Compass SUV on a global scale.

Recently, Jeep shared a teaser image of the third generation Compass, providing a glimpse into the forthcoming version of the SUV. The company has already announced that it will be launched shortly in Europe. Given the significance of the Jeep Compass to the brand in India, it is anticipated that the launch will occur in the country sometime in 2025.

New Jeep Compass could come longer than current model

The recently unveiled teaser image of the new generation Compass by Jeep showcases the side profile of the SUV. It seems that the third generation of this vehicle will be longer than its predecessor, potentially providing increased interior space and enhanced comfort for passengers. Notable design features evident in the teaser include squared wheel arches, a floating roofline, and wrap-around headlamps and tail lamps.

New Jeep Compass to be underpinned by STLA medium architecture

The forthcoming third generation of the Jeep Compass will mark the brand's inaugural SUV featuring a 4x4 drivetrain supported by the STLA medium architecture. Production will take place at the Melfi manufacturing facility in Italy. Additionally, there is a possibility that the automaker will commence manufacturing the SUV at the FCA India Pune plant in the future, similar to the current generation of the Compass.

Third generation Jeep Compass to get multiple powertrain options

The forthcoming third generation of the Jeep Compass SUV will feature an expanded range of powertrain options. This new iteration of the Compass will offer e-hybrid, e-hybrid plug-in, and fully electric variants. Nevertheless, Jeep has not yet disclosed the specifications for these powertrains. The model intended for the Indian market is anticipated to include both petrol and diesel engine alternatives.
