1 2025 Tata Tigor

The Tata Tigor just got a fresh update in January 2025. They've rolled out a new top-tier trim called the XZ Plus Lux. This version comes in at ₹8.50 lakh for the petrol variant and ₹9.50 lakh for the CNG model, both ex-showroom prices. The XZ Plus Lux is packed with safety features, including a 360-degree camera, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), electronic stability program (ESP), and hill hold control (HHC). Fun fact: the petrol version of the XZ Plus Lux is now the most budget-friendly car in India that offers a 360-degree camera.

2 Nissan Magnite

The Nissan Magnite stands out as one of the budget-friendly choices in the sub-compact SUV category. The highest trim, Tekna, starts at ₹8.89 lakh (ex-showroom). This variant is packed with safety features, including a 360-degree camera, six airbags, cruise control, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, vehicle dynamic control, traction control, hill start assist, ABS with EBD and brake assist, plus a tire pressure monitoring system.

3 Tata Altroz

One more Tata making waves is the Altroz, a stylish premium hatchback from the Indian automaker. Last year, the Altroz lineup received some fresh updates, including new features and trim options. They introduced the XZ Lux variant, which comes in at ₹9 lakh, ex-showroom. This model boasts a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system running on the latest OS, along with a 360-degree camera and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

4 Maruti Suzuki Baleno

The premium hatchback received a refresh in 2022. The high-end model, Alpha, which costs ₹9.42 ex-showroom, now comes packed with modern features like a Heads-Up Display, a 360-degree camera, a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system, and the latest Suzuki Connect, along with other impressive additions.

5 Maruti Suzuki Dzire

The fourth generation of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire made its debut in November 2024. With this new version, Maruti Suzuki stepped up the safety features of this subcompact sedan. It proudly became the first car from the brand to earn a five-star safety rating from Global NCAP. On the safety front, the top-tier ZXi Plus variant comes loaded with an electric sunroof, a 360-degree camera, cruise control, and LED fog lights, all priced at ₹9.69 lakh, ex-showroom, for the manual transmission model.
