At the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, MG Motor displayed three electric vehicles. The lineup includes the Cyber X ‘Box’ concept, Cyberster MY 2026, and the newly introduced Cyberster Black 101st Anniversary Edition. Currently, it is unclear when these vehicles will be available for purchase, but as anticipated, they will initially be released in the global market.

MG Cyberster

MG asserts that the Cyberster serves as the spiritual successor to the MG B. For 2026, the Cyberster will be offered in two new exterior colors—Iris Blue and Andes Gray—and feature dual-tone Red/Black or Gray/White interiors. The interior is equipped with body-color matched trim panels and a wind deflector that MG states minimizes cabin turbulence by as much as 90 percent.

MG Cyberster Black comes with cosmetic changes only.

The brand also launched a new black edition of the Cyberster, featuring high-gloss black paint and chrome details. In addition to this, a new Cyberster GTS is now available, which comes with a hardtop.

In the global market, the brand provides a rear-wheel drive version of the electric convertible, which is equipped with a 64 kWh battery pack that is claimed to offer a range of up to 519 kilometers. The electric motor aims to provide a peak power output of 295 bhp. Moreover, the electric sports car, advertised as the most powerful MG model so far, comes with a 77 kWh battery pack that allows the Cyberster to cover a distance of up to 510 kilometers on a single charge. The MG Cyberster is driven by dual electric motors, which together produce a peak power of 510 bhp and an impressive maximum torque of 725 Nm. The manufacturer claims that the MG Cyberster can accelerate from a complete stop to 100 km/h in just 3. 2 seconds.

MG Cyber X

For the Cyber X, MG has brought back pop up headlights.

The Cyber X is designed by Joseph Kaban, the creator of the Bugatti Veyron supercar. It features a lofty and compact design with very brief front and rear overhangs. The exterior of the vehicle is coated in the shade of 'Stardust Gray', showcasing a matte sandstone finish. MG has reintroduced pop-up headlights with the Cyber X, which enjoyed popularity during the 1970s and 80s. Currently, the specifications of the Cyber X have not been disclosed.
