Piaggio India has introduced the 2025 Vespa 125 and 150 scooter lineup, featuring numerous enhancements for the upcoming model year. The revised Vespa scooters are available at a starting price of ₹1.32 lakh, reaching up to ₹1.96 lakh (ex-showroom, Maharashtra) for the new high-end Tech S variant. Currently, pricing details have been disclosed solely for the 125 cc models, with information regarding the 150 cc variants to be announced at a later date. Below is an overview of the new features included in the updated scooters.

2025 Vespa Scooters: What's New?

The Vespa lineup for 2025 features both the standard and S variants. In the future, the Vespa VXL will simply be known as the Vespa, whereas the SXL will be designated as the Vespa S. The standard model showcases a more conventional design, characterized by its oval headlamp and rounded body, while the Vespa S introduces a new trapezoidal headlamp unit, enhancing its sporty appearance. The scooter maintains its existing structural elements, including the monocoque metal body.

The 2025 Vespa lineup features engines that comply with OBD-2B standards, showcasing slight enhancements in both power and torque. The updated models, including the Vespa and Vespa S, are equipped with revised 125 cc and 150 cc engines. These units adhere to forthcoming emission regulations. The 125 cc engine delivers 9.3 bhp at 7,100 rpm and 10.1 Nm at 5,600 rpm, coupled with a CVT transmission. Meanwhile, the 150 cc engine generates 11.4 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 11.66 Nm at 6,100 rpm. In comparison to their predecessors, there has been an increase of 0.5 bhp and 0.6 Nm in power and torque, respectively.

2025 Vespa & Vespa S: New Features

The fundamental variants of the 2025 Vespa and Vespa S, aside from the introduction of the new engine, remain predominantly unchanged. The design continues to be consistent, retaining the analogue instrument console complemented by a digital display. The base model of the Vespa is available in seven colour options: Verde Amabile, Rosso Red, Pearl White, Nero Black, Azzurro Provenza, Blue & Pearl White, and Orange & Pearl White. The starting price for the base Vespa is ₹1.32 lakh.

In contrast, the 2025 Vespa and Vespa S Tech feature enhancements such as a 5-inch TFT screen equipped with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation capabilities, along with keyless ignition. The Vespa S variant offers a wider selection of colours, including Verde Ambizioso (Matte), Oro, Pearl White, Nero Black (Matte), Giallo Yellow (Matte), Arancio Impulsivo, Red & Pearl White, and Black & Pearl White. The new Vespa S is priced at ₹1.36 lakh and introduces the new Oro colour option, which features a gold tint as a nod to India's affinity for gold.

The latest offerings include the new Vespa and the Vespa S Tech variant, which feature advancements such as keyless ignition, a 5-inch TFT display equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, navigation capabilities, and additional enhancements. The Vespa Tech is available in three distinct colours: Energico Blue, Grigio Grey, and a unique India-specific Qala, adorned with Mehendi-inspired graphics on both the body and seat. Conversely, the Vespa S Tech shares the same features but is limited to two colour options: Nero Black (Matte) and Pearl White. The pricing for the Vespa Tech stands at ₹1.92 lakh, while the Vespa S Tech is priced at ₹1.96 lakh, with both prices reflecting ex-showroom rates in Maharashtra.

2025 Vespa & Vespa S Availability

The latest range of Vespa scooters is set to be launched at dealerships nationwide starting February 25, 2025. This new collection is priced at a higher tier compared to other scooters with similar engine capacities available in the market. Piaggio aims to establish the brand as a premium offering, distinguishing it from its competitors.
