9 days ago | 5 Views
The Toyota Camry is scheduled for launch on December 11, 2024. This model competes in the D-segment sedan category and will encounter competition from the latest Skoda Superb and the BYD Seal EV upon its release.
The ninth generation of the Camry will be manufactured locally in India, marking the hybrid sedan's 11-year journey in the Indian market since its initial introduction.
The forthcoming Toyota Camry showcases a significant redesign compared to the existing model in India. It boasts a wider front grille and more angular headlights, setting it apart from its predecessor, while the rear design takes cues from Lexus. The sleek headlights are fitted with integrated LED daytime running lights, and the prominent radiator grille enhances its striking visual appeal.
2025 Toyota Camry: Features
The ninth generation model has seen considerable enhancements not only in its exterior design but also within its interior. The updated cabin now includes a dual-digital display, while modifications to the center console are minimal. Key features of the sedan include rear seat-back screens, Type-C USB charging ports, window curtains, and a JBL audio system. Furthermore, rear passengers benefit from individual climate control zones, and the vehicle's extensive wheelbase provides generous legroom.

2025 Toyota Camry: Engine and specs
The latest iteration of the Toyota Camry sedan is powered by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine, generating a maximum output of 222 bhp. This power is delivered to the front wheels via an eCVT transmission. Although the international model of the Toyota Camry sedan is designed with a front-wheel-drive system, it is improbable that this variant will be offered in the Indian market.
In India, the current Toyota Camry is equipped with a 2.5L four-cylinder petrol hybrid engine, producing 175.6 bhp and 221 Nm of torque, while achieving a fuel efficiency of 19 kmpl. It is expected that the fuel efficiency will see enhancements in the forthcoming generation.
